In Japanese Shakai means “public” or “society”. Shakai’s music is playful, humorous, challenging and sometimes sombre. With countless musical references and strong opinions, the band’s musical expression is in constant development. Some have called their music somewhat “schizophrenic”, but the quintet chooses to look at it as a bag of Skittles, a mixed bag, where there is something for everyone.
