PISTA is a Portuguese band that blends energetic rock, catchy pop, and global rhythmic influences to create a vibrant and unmistakable sound. The project began in the early 2000s, when Cláudio Fernandes and Bruno Afonso played together in the band October. After a break due to Bruno’s move to London in 2003, the duo reunited in 2011, composing early tracks that would shape their debut EP. Back in Portugal in 2013, they formed PISTA as a duo — Cláudio on guitar, Bruno on drums — and released their self-titled debut EP in October.
