Brina was born and raised in Broward County, Florida. Her distinct island sound is very recognizable in the way it incorporates pop. This stance can be heard in her music as she highlights pop's influence in Haitian Kompa in the area where pop and kompa overlap. Her latest EP titled “Bonjou” translating to “Hello“ in english, opens listeners up to her world with the familiar sounds of what she and many first-generation Haitian-Americans grew up with.
