Memphis born singer-songwriter Aybil relishes the art of a well told story. After relocating to Tulsa, OK, Aybil began writing songs about loneliness and friendship. While also being influenced by Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals from the 1950s and ‘60s, she began to mimic the vocal styling of the stars she heard. After her family returned to Memphis, her pursuit of writing poetry and songs continued.
