FIELD TRIP began as Zach Wagner’s psychedelic recording project, born in the eerie quiet of New York City’s 2020 lockdown, where he demoed songs fueled by escapism, introversion, and collaged snippets of street conversations. After moving to PA, the project expanded into a full band with Andrew Alonso on drums and Dillon Snyder on bass. Sonically, Field Trip fuses dream pop with psych rock, layering shimmering lo-fi textures over massive (and often syncopated) drums, while Wagner’s airy, filtered vocals drift above a hypnotic instrumental landscape.
