Born in Gloucestershire in the west of England, Emily, the face behind call me em, was in love with music from a young age. She grew up listening to 80s and 90s music with her parents, with artists like Kirsty MacColl and Madonna. As a child, she was immersed in the classical music scene as a member of numerous choirs and orchestras. However, she still found time to listen to such artists as Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Avril Lavigne, and the first album she ever bought with her own money was The Fame.
