Akin to their name, this unlikely band of musicians put "together" by fate like students chosen to work on an art project, SamaSama Project has proven that sometimes unexpected combinations are the ones that last. With widely varying tastes ranging from hip-hop to musical theater but unified in creating a thoughtful Filipino representation in the Chicago music scene, their music is a blend of folk, funk, pop, reggae, and Latin music, inspired by a 70s musical movement called Manila Sound.
