Alona Decade was born into a musically inclined family where music ingrained itself as the driving force that ignited her soul. Singing has been her outlet to express the disparities of life. Deep down, she always knew that one day it would help tell her story. As a child, she wrote poems and jingles to express her frustration with feeling misunderstood, insecure about her dark skin, and unloved.
