Sobre Observatories
Observatories is the work of Ian Hawgood and Craig Tattersall. Friends and enthusiasts of all vintage musical devices weird and wonderful since releasing each other on their respective labels (Home Normal and Moteer/Mobeer) in 2008 and 2009, Ian and Craig are well-known for their love of tape-based audio recording and utilising the hushed frequencies of the form to create subtle, magical music of timelessness. Their work as Observatories has been released on IIKKI (France), Dauw (Belgium), and Quiet Details (UK) on vinyl, cassette and cd across four critically acclaimed albums.
