Dutch producer Jarreau Vandal grew up in Amsterdam in a highly musical environment, breathing in the vibrant sounds and influence of '90s hip-hop and alternative rock early on. First hugely inspired by bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jamiroquai, he wanted to be a drummer at first, but after his producer grandfather introduced him to electronic production at age 16, his focus shifted immediately and he began making his own tracks on his computer.
