Ian de Sylva began life as a musician as the singer and songwriter in the band 'Silver'. They released their first single in 1993 through Rough Trade records and went on to reach the top end of the independent charts with their next two releases. They then toured with contemporaries such as Elastica, The Cranberries and The Auteurs. After signing with New York label Medicine/Warners in 94' they recorded their debut album with producers Craig Leon (Ramones,Blondie) and Sean O'Hagan of Microdisney and Stereolab.
