Dru Luciano was raised in Bakersfield California and like several other artist, struggled with various life altering situations and circumstances involving everyday life struggles while in pursuit of his music career. However, determined to make his legacy, Dru Luciano moved to North Dakota prior to the oilboom and capitalized as an entrepreneur and opened up a barbershop to support his independent music career.
