Rulitos is the solo project of Daniel Sanchez Chicaguala, a Chilean-American musician based out of Austin, TX. Rooted in traditional singer-songwriter styles akin to Nick Drake and Elliott Smith, Rulitos borrows from electronic and ambient music to experiment with his songwriting. While the tracks started to take shape in 2018, Rulitos didn’t begin recording and performing live until 2019. It was only post-pandemic that Rulitos decided to really focus and pursue the project in earnest.
