DJ Hussler grew up with different music influences ranging from house, funky house to underground hard US house. In the early 90s he imported UK and European underground dance music into the South African rave scene before relocating to the UK. His music was further influenced being at the epicentre of the hard dance scene. His DJing was limited to house parties, until a friend wrote him in for a national DJ competition, surprising him on the night of his slot.
