Martin Warnes began working as a sound engineer in the late 1980's before opening his own studio (Pink Pterodactyl) in 1992. After releasing a 12" single (Fiesta by El Barrio) on Rollover Records, and an album (Pro-Log by Vallenato) on Temple Records, he signed (as Resonator) to the newly formed Ninebar Records in 1994. His first release with them was the 'Northern Lights EP' in May 1995. In September of the same year Ninebar set up a subsiduary label (Pterodactyl Records) concentrating on the newly emerging Jungle/Drum & Bass scene with Martin as A&R. Their first release was Du...
