KING UMBRA is the creative musical project hailing from Wellington, New Zealand by independent electronic producer Mike Naude-Stewart. KING UMBRA captures and builds on the defining aspects of Synthwave that Mike found so alluring when first drawn to the scene in the mid 2010's. Taking inspiration from such classic synthwave artists as Mitch Murder, KRISTINE and The Midnight as well as from the darker side of the genre in the likes of Perturbator, Daniel Deluxe and Carpenter Brut.
