Homesick Hound Dogs is an alt-country/americana band that couldn't have happened anywhere besides New York City. A Californian banjo player, a songwriter / guitarist from North Carolina, a mandolin/fiddle player from Vermont and a Texan harmonica player crossed paths in Brooklyn in early 2012 and began brewing their own incendiary flavor of americana, drawing on their individual experiences with bluegrass, country, folk and punk rock.
