British Balloons is the Lo-Fi side project of English musician Ben Laver. After years of writing electronic under the alias Blaver, Ben decided to experiment with a more melancholy and guitar driven sound. British balloons draws inspiration from Indie artists such as Mac DeMarco and girl in red but also draws inspiration from lofi producers such as SwuM and quickly, quickly. This creates a unique gritty guitar focused lofi sound which adds a breathe of fresh air to the Lo-Fi landscape.
