Aptiekas Bēru Ansamblis (ABA) was founded in 2018 in the premises of the "Aptieka" pub in Old Riga. ABA consists of Irbe Šmite (vocals), Agnese Želneronoka (vocals), Laima Edīte Cīrule (guitar), Līga Inkēna (bass), Ilze Barkeviča (accordion), Madara Markovska (accordion), Mārtiņš Rutks arī Rutkis (drums). For the uninitiated, the group refers to its represented style as neo-eclectic-punk-indie-schlager or cross-genre music. It's creatively messy music performed by non-professionals to complement all of life's most important events, including weddings, funerals and birthdays.
