Summer Invasion Project is a Chinese rock band formed in March 2014, consisting of lead vocalist Huihong, guitarist Kenny, bassist Pipi, and drummer Kou’er. The idea for the band started when Huihong and Pipi began writing songs together in middle school. In college, Huihong formed a temporary band to perform at a music festival, with Penicillin’s bassist Zhao Zhao helping with rehearsals and lead guitar.
