Banda Entopica is a traditional music street band based in Thessaloniki , fusing clarinet, saxophone , accordion and davul in a synthesis of traditional and modern Balkan music. The word “Entopica” is a reference to the dialect of the Slavic-speaking populations of Macedonia, commonly called “Ntopica” (in greek, it means the local language). Influenced by a wide array of sounds from Macedonia, Thrace, Epirus and the entire Balkan Peninsula, their music is a dance-inducing, ecstatic frenzy of traditional songs and original compositions.
