His mother and grandparents were painters and his family wholeheartedly supported his creative pursuits, even when he decided to drop out of college and turn his hobby into a career. His appreciation for jazz, soul and symphony is steeped in his father’s record collection, but it was Elliot’s mother who threw Beastie Boys, 50 Cent and Eminem records into his lap and opened his eyes to the world of hip-hop. ...
