Liz Farrell and Mary Margaret Cozart are Common Currents, an indie folk-rock duo based in Athens, Georgia. Mary Margaret and Liz met while freshmen at the University of Georgia and began collaborating in Spring of 2019, combining prior individual songwriting experience and like-minded musical intuition. Inspired by artists such as Ingrid Michaelson, Madison Cunningham, and The Staves, their songs infuse vocal harmonies and instrumental melodies with thoughtful lyrics.
