Hector Console

Hector Console is the world's leading tango double bassist. He is especially known for his frequent collaborations with "Nuevo Tango" path-breaker Astor Piazzolla in concert and on recordings. The great growth of interest in Piazzolla's music in the 1990s and beyond extended into classical music, as classical musicians from Gidon Kremer to Daniel Barenboim took up his greatest compositions.
