Calgary-based artist PapaZan turned a chance encounter with DoYu Digital founder smol into a months-long apprenticeship of sound design and music production. Now he’s carving his own path with releases spanning genres like future house and deep meditative dubstep. PapaZan, real name Alex Hartley, was initially drawn to pick up DJing through his interest in drum and bass, with early influences like Sub Focus and Annix.
