Hi-Lux is a modern soul band from Kansas City. Blending elements of rock and reggae, the Hi-Lux sound is rooted in soul and flirting with funk. The band is led by vocalist Julia Haile and consists of Tim Braun on guitar, Nick Howell on keys, Dan Loftus on bass, and Kian Byrne on drums. Hi-Lux recently released a single featuring Dub legend Lee Scratch Perry who then lent his talents to the remixed song, “Don’t Blame Lee”.
