b. c.1944 Scotland. The former partner of Gerry Rafferty in Stealers Wheel, Egan recorded two low-key albums after their final disintegration. Out Of Nowhere contained the charming ‘Back On The Road Again’, a turntable hit on UK radio. Both albums were similar in structure to the three Stealers Wheel collections and demonstrated the considerable songwriting ability of Egan, who sadly was unable to find his own ‘Baker Street’.
