Familiars is the Seattle based New Wave, Synth-pop project led by former Kithkin drummer/vocalist Ian McCutcheon. Familiars songs are defined by bright synths, naturalistic and mythical lyricism and McCutcheon’s crooning voice. Familiars’ first record ‘Digest Self’ was a DIY recording made in a borrowed cabin in central Washington. The 2022 album ‘Hand of Glory’ is Familiars’ first studio record engineered and produced by Shawn Simmons featuring Jordan Marx, Will Segerstrom, Maggie Molloy, Paul Munger and Olivia White.
