Saifoulaye Baldé, known as Saifond, is a singer and song-writer , born in Labé. He came to Conakry to continue his studies, but found happiness in the music world. He started out dancing, then joined a rap group before finally opting for a solo career. Endowed with a high-pitched voice, he has managed to blend tradition and modernity to create a musical genre now known as afro-pastoral. This blend, of which he is the only one with the secret, has become a very popular musical genre in Guinea.
