Born in Rotherham, near Sheffield, SHARKEY is one of the freshest artists of the north aiming to create its own sound. After working with Max Mulrenan behind the scenes throughout college, SHARKEY took his time to learn and find his own sound and taste before working on his debut single ‘sweetheart’ which was very positively received, mixing UK lyricism with catchy hooks and synths. Sweetheart was originally part of an EP titled ‘AMARA’ that was later scrapped to peruse a new direction of true hip hop.
