MAYA is a poetic singer-songwriter and rebel with a cause. In her indie-folk songs, you can hear Arabic and classical influences that she blends with spoken word and her warm vocals. With perceptive lyrics in Dutch and English, she speaks with gentle strength about the shaded and the sunny. MAYA works with visual disciplines such as animation and the overhead projector, which are expressed in music videos and live visuals.
