Acting like a one-man version of TDE, West Coast rapper BlkKn is also a visual artist, designer, and director, and utilizes all of the above in the presentation of his music. Born and raised in the Inland Empire, he kicked off his rap career in 2010 with the mixtape Call of Black Ken. Then his first album, Teenager, then followed in 2013, which told stories of his high school's struggles and the events leading up to his graduation. Then BlkKn turned strictly to mixtapes and online uploads for the next three years. He returned to the album format in 2016 with the release of Burning Bridges.
