Could Ever, a solo music project, emerged as a response to a need for creative expression, a longing that had been stifled in the corporate confines of his day job. Drawing inspiration from chillwave and indie staples like Washed Out, St. Lucia, Phoenix, The Mary Onettes, Best Coast, Hellogoodbye’s “Would It Kill You?,” Rostam, Daughter, Night Beds, and We Were Promised Jetpacks, he began to craft songs during breaks at work and late-night sessions at home.
