Sobre Northdrive
All hailing from the province of Tarlac, just about two hours “north” of Manila, NORTHDRIVE was formed in the summer of 2015. With all five members growing up in the 90’s, its pop–alternative root is evident in their compositions. The band started with singer/songwriter Ponky Lao. Ponky moved from New York to the Philippines to pursue a career in music. With the advice and guidance of his childhood friend, prominent musician/producer Ryan Sarmiento of the band 6cycleMind, Ponky decided to put together a band.
