Brazilian singer, songwriter, bassist and guitarrist João Steil was born in 1994 in the city of Florianópolis, also known as "Floripa" or even "Magic Island". Starting his studies of music on the bass guitar at the age of 11, he had as main influences his older brothers, a trumpetist and a drummer, who introduced him to jazz and to brazilian instrumental music. In 2015 he has started his career as bass player and songwriter of the band Mimosa Scabrella.
