ChillBill started off as a solo project in the early 1960's. ChillBill found a band after Dennis Wilson (a good friend of Bill's) spread the word. ChillBill gained popularity in the late 60's by mixing a blend of psychedelic, garage, and proto-punk, a genre not yet known to the public. "It was a totally new sound.
