The Calm is a genre-spanning independent artist based in New Orleans, LA. After formation in 2017 by high school friends Ryan O'Rourke and Kaden Zimmerman, the addition of Carson Matter in 2018 completed the current outfit. The band's first official project, Prytania, arrived in September 2019, a 4-track EP that was the result of a partnership with Atlanta-based Lazy River Records, who helped them record and produce the EP. The Calm is currently working on their second project, and is looking forward to its prompt release and subsequent live debut.
