Varyag hail from the west coast of Scotland and were formed in 2012 by Rob Mackie - Guitar/ Bass/ Vocals and Chris Morton - Guitar. Varyag has remained a 2 piece over the years and have no plans to change this. The bands musical style has changed over the years taking from the members' ever growing tastes in music, settling recently on Black Metal. In September 2023 Varyag will release a new Demo name LUNAR. The song features the words WNTR at the beginning which is a nod to the potential renaming of the band.
