Hailing from Vancouver BC, with members from around the world, Pinebarren mixes a multitude of influences to create nostalgic/modern indie rock. The Tinnitist described the band as "blending a myriad of styles and eras, mixing and matching everything from glistening new wave keyboards and muscular post-punk basslines to anthemic arena-pop."
