Michael Ende was born in the 1970s and raised in a small village near the Iron Curtain. This, along with his early interest in chemistry, may be why Michael always feels like a frontier alchemist when he works on his music. When Michael picks up the bass, it always sounds funky. This inspired him to call his one-man project, Funky ME.
