Formed after the dissolution of his previous band Gift Horse, Blue Blood is the latest solo vehicle for Athens, Georgia-based singer/songwriter Hunter Morris. After splitting with Gift Horse, Morris retreated to the solitude of fly-fishing (he both practices and teaches the art), and began writing new material. As the songs piled up, Morris began to realize that the material might benefit from the full-band treatment, so he enlisted multi-instrumentalist Hank Sullivant (MGMT, Kuroma, the Whigs), drummer J.J.
