Sunshine and The Makenzi Sound (S&MS) is a 6-piece folk oriented band, formed in Guayaquil, Ecuador in late 2011. The band origins began in 2009 when Juan Pablo Rivadeneira got together with long time best friend from school, Jorge Rivas, and started writing folk songs on the porch of Juan Pablo’s house, curios enough, the name of the band is as old as 2006 when Juan Pablo quitted his former band and decided to start a solo project, they recruited Roberto Ramil on the violin, Roberto agreed on entering the band after seeing them preform live on Jorge’s Birthday (Jorge’s Birthday tends to ...
