Influenced by the likes of Destiny’s Child, Sugababes, and Rihanna, English pop group SoundGirl were formed in 2010 by teenage vocalists Izzy Beardshaw, Olivia Redmond, and Nicole Short. A major break came when the Mercury label became interested and signed them, but a chance meeting proved to be just as significant; while recording material for their first album in Los Angeles, the singers learned that they and Justin Bieber were staying at the same hotel.
