Tyke B, born Tyquan Isaiah Kennedy on March 26, 1989 in Brooklyn New York developed his love of hip hop by following the works of well known New York artists like Jayz and NAS. He participated in the Urban Dove program sponsered by Dame Dash in his early teens before moving to the Georgia for first time. His move to Georgia would help him develop his unique style as an artist. After leaving high school, Tyke B moved to Virginia to be closer to family.
