Hubert Parry (1848-1918) was a British composer of the post-Romantic period, of comparable status and musical style to his contemporary, Charles Villiers Stanford. Parry had his first public success with his Piano Concerto in F sharp major, though his reputation would grow with the popularity of his choral music, including the oratorio, Job.
