"Sweden is a prolific exporter of fine synthpop, so I’m rarely surprised when I stumble upon a new band I like that hails from the Nordic country. Such is the case of Current One, a band I started listening to last year. Current One is a solo project from Markus Enström, who hails from Piteå, a coastal city in the northern part of Sweden. He’s been tinkering around with music as far back as 1994 and began to release finished songs in 2020. Over the past two years, Current One has released around 20 tracks, honing his songwriting skills and building an audience. It’s all led up to this. ...
