Rómi (born Owolabi Oluwarominiyi on May 3, 2005) is a rising star in the new wave of Nigerian music. He began making music at the age of 8 but started recording for the first time at 15 using Adobe Audition while bored at home during the COVID-19 lockdown. The following year, he commenced his university education, where he met his frequent collaborator Bela. Together, they went on to create the mixtapes “Lagos and IB” and “Songs that’ll never drop.” He has contributed to songwriting for various artists, demonstrating his exceptional writing abilities.
