Michael J. Pineda is a Honduran-American musician actively playing in Chicago. He started his musical journey focused on writing raps and learning the hip-hop idiom at a young age. Several years later, he picked up the electric guitar and began to emulate his blues heroes as well as to compose and explore his own style. Pineda found the tenor saxophone at the end of high school and fell in love with jazz music, which eventually led to minor studies at a higher level of education.
