Sweetlemondae was born in South Africa and moved to Ireland when she was seven years old. Her musical career began in her teenage years, with her first releases on Soundcloud and YouTube at the age of 15. She has been on a rapid rise after her debut Diffusion Lab track "Never Gonna Be" peaked at #37 on the Irish Airplay Chart in 2022. The Galway-based rapper draws inspiration from artists such as Coi Leray, Little Simz, 070 Shake, and IAMDBB, as demonstrated by her MC sound and approach.
