Late Night TV was founded in Charleston, South Carolina from the remnants of singer-songwriter Justin Moffitt's solo project in early 2018. The remainder of that year was spent adding new band members and working on "Good Mourning," the band's debut EP. Moffitt, alongside Bow Smith (guitar), Holden Curran (bass), Belvin Olasov (synth), and Tyler Wolfe (drums) recorded the 5 songs with the help of producer Corey Campbell (of Babe Club.)
